I started using Slime a few years ago when I ran a small resort on this Florida island. We began to offer free bikes for our guests but the maintenance issue, particularly flat tires, was making us regret our decision. A flat tire could cost us $30, especially if an employee went to the store and then spent an hour changing the tube.

Enter Slime! No more flat tires. It's that simple. I now ride my personal bike about 18 miles a week. After a recent trip the rear tire started to deflate. I yanked a big screw out, pumped it up, watched the green goo bubble out and it's fine again. Great stuff!
    Slime works as claimed

I ride an average of 20 miles per day along a city bike trail that runs along the Ohio River in Louisville, Kentucky. The trail is at times rough. I started having slow air leaks in my front tire several months ago that proceeded to get worse. No nails or glass or anything like that, but most of the air would leak from the front tire only after 3 days. I took the bike to a local bike shop and had the front inner tube replaced. The leaking stopped for a week but then started again. Then I ordered 2 bottles of Slime. I put 1/2 a bottle in the front tube. I am happy to report the leaking has stopped. Would buy again.
    Works quite well.

Where I live we have these thorns called goat heads and they'll put a hole in any tire. Most recently I installed brand new tubes and tires on my road bike. Within 15 miles of riding it on the road, I had leaks caused by thorns in both tires. I picked up a bottle of this slime and put about 3 ounces in each tire(it recommends 4 ounces) now I am mobile again.

Note these bottles are designed for putting slime in a Schrader valve tire and it is a very difficult process to get it through a Presta valve. To get this through the Presta valves on my tires I had to completely unscrew the lock nut, then take a small pin and push the core into the tube. (This is best done with the tube uninstalled because there's a good chance that the valve core will fall out of the stem and go into the tube. If it does this you need find it and work it back to the stem (with the skinny end first) once you're finished.) Then I installed a Presta to Schrader adapter on the valve stem and was able to squeeze the stuff in.

So if you have Presta valves I don't recommend it and also if you are concerned about weight(about 4 ounces per tire). But if you're like me and don't want to deal with a flat every day, then this stuff works. I have used this on 3 of my bikes and have not had to patch a tire in years.

    Great Stuff!!
